JEE NEET to be conducted twice a year from 2019

On 10th November 2017 Friday PM Narendra Modi in a proposal suggested for the formation of an autonomous organization National Testing Agency (NTA) which . JEE and CBSE are currently conducted by CBSE along with national ability exams UGC's National Eligibility Test (twice a year), Central Teacher Eligibility Test (twice a year) and the entrance test for Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas.

NTA will relieve CBSE from conducting the national entrance exams and will serve as the national unibody for conducting the national ability tests and exams. NTA will organize and conduct exams twice a year from 2019 onward with a priority focus of conducting it online.

NTA is to be created as a Society registered under the Indian Societies Registration Act, 1860. The HRD ministry will appoint the chairperson for NTA, the CEO will be the Director General appointed by the Government and many other Board of Governors. NTA will be self funded and sustainable committee which will be initially granted a funded of Rs. 25 crore from the central government to start its function.

NTA will further on move to even conduct all the nationwide exams as such CTET, NET, etc. Students will get a more better option as the exams will be conducted twice a year. But a question about the admissions still remain uncleared if the exams will be conducted twice for JEE Mains and NEET.

More updates  will be posted regarding the same as soon as declared by the central government and CBSE.
